The lecturer was physicist Robert Serber, J. Robert Oppenheimer's prot g , and the scientists learned that their job was to design and build the world's first atomic bombs. Notes on Serber's lectures were gathered into a mimeographed document titled TheLos Alamos Primer, which was supplied to all incoming scientific staff. The Primer remained classified for decades after the war. Published for the first time in 1992, the Primer offers contemporary readers a better understanding of the origins of nuclear weapons. Serber's preface vividly conveys the mingled excitement, uncertainty, and intensity felt by the Manhattan Project scientists. This edition includes an updated introduction by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Richard Rhodes. Works like a charm

Pricey for a towel holder, but a great value for the money. Like everyone else, I’ve tried all types of towel holders that didn’t work or were tricky to replace the rolls. The ear type that have two spring loaded arms to hold the roll, if you pull too hard the roll pops out and the towels go flying. The type that has 2 arms and a rod that goes through the roll. Pain in the #$@ to detach and reattach for roll changes. Slip on type with a post and silicon fins on the post to hold the towels. Not good for jumbo rolls and the other rolls fits on loosely and sometimes a simple tug to detach a towel gets you a handful as it spins away. So I saw this one, hesitated at the price, but based on reviews decided to give it a spin, ( sorry about the pun). It holds the towels firmly thanks to the springy fins attached to the center post. Sized for all rolls, even the jumbo. Stays anchored to the counter with the suction sups. And, dispenses towels with a simple tug with one hand. No need to hold the roll, this baby does what it says. I like the sleek look and the stainless steel finish. As to the cost, if I had bought this one instead of all its failed predecessors, I would have saved money. Buy it, you won’t be sorry

No regrets on this choice!

This holder not only looks good but works like a charm. Very easy to put together & very sturdy. Holds the paper towel with no slipping or popping off and it does not move around on the counter. There are suction cups on the bottom. Very impressed & worth every penny!!
